The Republic of Slovenia will  preside over the European Union Council beginning January 2008. It will be the first of the 10 new member countries that joined the EU in 2004 to preside, marking a significant step in the accomplishments of the EU and the new member states thus far. In anticipation of the Slovenian Presidency, ANO pro Evropu, in cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia is pleased to present a debate with Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Dimitrij Rupel. The focus of the debate will be the priorities of the Slovenian Presidency with a special emphasis on the Western Balkans. The event will be held under the auspices and in the presence of Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg.
